Working Through the Trauma

One of my supervisors has made a habit of pointing out to me that I have an almost humorous expectation that everything could go horribly wrong at any moment, both with my clients and with my peers. “Yes,” I replied. “Yes it could.”  It was actually in the midst of working through this belief that something rather tragic did happen in my personal life: I was roofied at a neighborhood bar. As I experienced it, one moment I had just started nursing a greyhound, and the next moment I was waking up in my apartment only to find most of my valuables gone. The most terrifying part of this experience was the total absence of memory between these two events, with only my speculation about what might really have happened. Bad things really can happen at any moment.

2012 Convention Schedule

We are looking forward to seeing CPAGS members at Convention this week!  We have many great activities specifically planned for you!  Be sure to check out the following events:

CPAGS Lounge- (Santa Monica Room)

This is your home base during the convention.  Mingle with other graduate students throughout the course of the weekend, sign up for events, participate in grad student luncheons, network, and simply hang out!  Open to all students!  For CPAGS convention volunteers, this is also where you will pick up your session materials.
